The school approach

Through strict hours and curricula, children and young people have learned to conform to everyday school life as far as possible. One-sided specialist structures dictate what is to be learned and reproduced. Among other things, this results in fixed structures that are very much oriented towards productive attitudes. The product becomes the measure of all things and establishes ideas of competition and comparison at an early stage. This product orientation means that pupils quickly lose the extremely important focus on process orientation. The simple is overshadowed by the complex and ends in a conditioned perception. My work aims to bring the intellectual and emotional activity closer to the students in social contexts on a sports psychological basis in order to create an awareness of inner and outer thought and behavioral processes. The following measures are intended to sensitize students to social integration, self-confidence, self-efficacy, self-confidence, empathy and a better body awareness:

Mental training and sports

The influence of the mind on the body should be made clear here. Conscious (guided) imagination processes should give the pupils an insight into the effectiveness of the imagination in order to refine their feeling for mental processes. Mental exercises are transferred directly to sporting activities. In addition, mental training is used as a catalyst for self-efficacy, empathy and body awareness.

Team building and trust games

Team building measures and trust games ensure that the social and task-oriented cohesion within a group is strengthened. As a result, the idea of competition and comparison within a class lose their value and the common, supportive achievement of a goal becomes more important. A good class / work climate and an emotional balance are the foundation of a trusting relationship among pupils. Guided meditations should also support this.

Dealing with stress / fatigue

Stress is a natural mechanism to bring us to the necessary energy level in perceived dangerous situations. By changing our perception and attribution, we can change our response to certain situations. Even at school / in the company you can already see chronic stress in many pupils, which leads to many illnesses. Relaxation processes, physical activity and attribution patterns should serve to reduce the problem. In addition, there is often a lack of drive among pupils. Mental training should serve as an instrument for psychological and physical activation.

Time and thoughts

How is time related to our thoughts? Can we slow down our way of life by understanding our thought processes? What role does so-called thought hygiene play in creative processes and how does it affect our health? All of these questions should be clarified here.

Psychosocial education

Here, fundamental thought processes and behavior in relationships with other people are explained. At the practical level, emotion-regulatory measures, role plays, thought experiments and case studies that you have carried out yourself play a supporting role. These are intended to improve empathy, self-confidence, communication and dealing with fear, aggression and social rejection. The reduction of prejudices, school conflicts / conflicts in the workplace and discrimination is also promoted. (Class) outsiders are reintegrated into the group.

Attitude as a dynamic construct

Attitudes determine our behavior and actions in a largely stable manner. The older we get, the more stuck these can get. In youth or pubescence these are still quite variable. Here it is important to establish a questioning, self-reflective awareness relatively early on in order to get involved in many situations in a new and unbiased manner and thus to always work on yourself. People filter their reality through subjective glasses, which can quickly lose color, freshness and dynamism through one-sided perspectives. Through self-reflection, mutual constructive feedback and the art of meditation, the attention for one's own actions and thinking should be sharpened.

Experience flow

What is flow How is flow described in a sporting context? Is there also flow outside of sport? How do I get there? What does this have to do with meditation? How does it affect my actions, my health and my motivation? What about my fellow men? Students should experience the state of flow by means of sporting activities and mental training.
